Founded by Steven McMillan, Leslie Smith, and Gerald Peterson back in 1987, today the Auditex consulting company is currently the #1 in the United States!

1987

Auditex was formed by three directors who were really keen on providing excellent services to small businesses, which could make them proud. This commitment to quality and exemplary service has helped them to bring their business to its present form of a holding company with six subsidiaries.

1991

In 1991, our company managed to achieve tremendous success. Using professional marketing initially and a network of contacts, our client numbers increased at a level that required rapid and continued recruitment within the business. The 1990s became a period of Auditex development and the establishment of corporate culture, which was based on:

2003

In January 2003, our company was converted to LLP status giving greater protection to the business and greater transparency to clients. The firm extended its network further still by acquiring ReTax company in Seattle, WA (October 2003) and ProAccountant offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco, CA (June 2005).

Today, Auditex operates from 15 offices throughout the US and this is only the beginning. We hope to give our customers even more very soon.

Our team

C. Thomas ParishFounder

C. Thomas Parish received his B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting at Troy University in Troy, Alabama in 1987. In addition, he is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Alabama and an Associate Certified Fraud Examiner. Thomas has worked with CPA firms, both regional and local, in addition to having started his own CPA firm in 1992. Thomas did his first tax return while in college in 1985 and has continued to prepare returns for that client along with more than a thousand others since 1985. In his own practice, he has worked with and advised small and start-up businesses, medium-sized businesses, as well as multi-million dollar corporations. He has consistently completed work on corporate, partnership, individual, estate, non-profit and payroll taxes each year for over thirty years. Among his areas of expertise are farming clients, construction, governmental audits, nonprofits, business start-ups, franchise businesses (he has owned three franchises), truck drivers, estates and trusts, and fraud investigations among many others. His practice has included many Spanish speaking clients and employees as well as clients from over ten different countries. Thomas founded the firm based on providing excellent client service for a reasonable fee, coupled with outstanding customer service. He is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Alabama Society of CPAs and several Chambers of Commerce.more

Eden ScottCPA

Eden worked in both the computer industry and public accounting in Atlanta, Georgia, before moving his family to Auburn. Eden is an accounting graduate of Georgia State University and is a member of the Alabama and Georgia Societies of CPA’s and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. When not working on tax returns and audits, you can find him hiking somewhere along the Appalachian Trail, often with one (or both) of his grown daughters.more

Mary Ann HansonCPA

Mary Ann has over 25 years of experience in small business, non-profit and individual accounting and tax management. Mary Ann is an accounting graduate of the University of Maryland and is a member of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants. She has been with the firm since 1999. She is also on the finance faculty for CREDO, a wellness initiative for Episcopal clergy and in this capacity offers guidance on personal financial services. She enjoys the zen of yoga, and getting out in the great outdoors as often as possible.more

Terry ScottEA

Terry is an Enrolled Agent. An Enrolled Agent is the highest credential that the IRS awards for tax preparers. In addition to her work in individual and small business taxation and accounting, Terry is a Quickbooks Pro Advisor and has an associate’s degree in accounting from Georgia Perimeter College. When she's not busy reviewing tax returns or reconciling accounts, she enjoys cross-stitching and quilting and keeping up with her two grown daughters, Gale and Maggie.more

Drish SrivastavaPartner

Drish holds a MBA and a Masters in Accounting from East Carolina University. She has over 14 years of diverse experience in finance, accounting, IT and human resources. Here at ATC Group, she focuses her attention on individual and small business tax returns specializing in IRS and state tax resolution. When she isn’t hard at work, she enjoys spending time with her son, painting, yoga and meditationmore

Tanner Brockett Partner

Tanner Brockett started with ATC Group at the beginning of the 2015 tax season. He is a graduate of Auburn University with a Degree in Finance.
